In 2023, we set out to create the perfect family getaway for Phillip Island. Starting out with a central location, close to the beach and Cowes shops, we completely renovated a property to create the ‘Big Isle Retreat’.
Our double story holiday home is designed for large families & groups, featuring two large living spaces, outdoor entertaining, home theatre & pool table, Sonos music throughout, fire-pit, and room to sleep 12. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!
Designed for Families
Entertainment is at the centre of your stay. Venture into the living room for a round of pool on our slate pool table or chill on the large King Living couch and experience true home theatre with our big TV and Sonos surround system complete with Netflix.
We’ve even got the kids covered with their very own upstairs rumpus, including board games, toys and TV. In the master bedroom, we've included at large 65" TV, for parents wanting movie time in bed.
Want a true Aussie BBQ experience? No problem, the alfresco area features both a BBQ and Coal BBQ. Completely undercover, the alfresco also features an outdoor dining table, lighting and speakers. Let's not foget the fire pit!
Close to everything
Guests love how close the Big Isle Retreat is to the beach, Cowes, and the main tourist attractions (Penguins, Golf, Nobbies, GP Circuit etc). Situated just 250m from Cowes main beach and 900m from the town centre, Families, beach lovers, and big groups will find our central location ideal. Also, dog owners will appreciate the proximity to one of the only off-leash dog beaches on Philip Island*.
Next door you’ll find a General ÂÂStore the provides fresh fish and chips and with Cowes only a 10min walk away, you can easily venture into town for some shopping, dinner, or an evening drink.

Professionally renovated to the highest standard, the Big Isle Retreat has all the latest amenities and premium modern appliances to help make your Phillip Island stay more enjoyable. You’ll have access to clothes washer, dryer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, 3 TV’s, Sonos music everywhere downstairs, Heating/Cooling in every room, just to name a few!
Wining and Dining
Entertaining comes easy at the Big Isle Retreat. Cook up a storm in our well appointed kitchen, then feast the night away on our hardwood dining table, featuring 8 comfy seats, ceiling fan, and in-ceiling Sonos speakers.
We're Pet Friendly
We understand that taking your furry loved ones on holiday means alot, so we're happy to welcome your pet to our home. The property is fenced off, with a gate, and there's ample space to run around. We're also a short stroll to the off-leash dog beach!
